The unthinkable, unbelievable, un–well, you get the idea. My novel, Antithesis, was picked up by Inkspell Publishing. I’m really excited to join the Inkspell team, they are forward thinkers and people that have as much backbone as they do knowledge. Antithesis, which is my Young Adult Sci-Fi novel, will be available in both print and digital format with a tentative release date of November/December 2012.
I. Am. So. Excited.
When I started writing, did I expect to get published? Heck yeah, I did. π Not because I want to make millions of dollars (though that would be excellent), but because I want to share my characters with all of you fine people. I truly believe that all the magic is in the details of the story, the little things, the relationships, the character’s struggle. I just want to know that someone reads my story and gets into it, excited over what happens. And then I want to talk about it. I love hearing people’s ideas and thoughts, I’m the kind of author who wants to be involved with her readers, wants to know what they are thinking.
So basically, it’s a dream come true for me. By the end of this year I will be able to hold Antithesis in my hands, my own little Sci-Fi love child.
While this process is exciting for me, I can’t wait for people to actually READ it! Believe me when I say that there will be discussions OH! and a book release party.
I want to thank everyone who has helped me get to this point, whether you read Antithesis in its early stages or you encouraged me to submit it. Thank you. A really big, super giant thank you goes out to Missy Biozarre, my writing partner and partner in crime. She beta read Antithesis for me and was crucial to the final touches. (She’s gonna hem and haw and not want to take credit, but she deserves it.) I have so many great people supporting me and I really appreciate it, and this is just the beginning of my writing journey. There’s still a long way to go and many, many stories to tell.
I can’t wait to take this journey with you.
All the best,
KACEY
Congratulations, that’s exciting!
Thanks so much! It really is!
Congratulations!! So happy for you π
Thank you! π
Well done! Now, get back to writing!
Reblogged this on The Stranger Diaries and commented:
Yes, you’re having double vision. Observe Gandalf, in her natural habitat, clutching a publishing contract.
Not only am I completly happy for you(and a little bit green), but me too., Because now I can watch the process first hand!
Mart- you know that this is just the beginning. I’ve already learned so much at club and I really do enjoy it. Thanks again for getting me to join, I think it’s exactly what I needed!
I’m so proud of you, Gandalf
